CHOOSING THE RIGHT HOME

Why the Huxley 120 Home Stood Out

When it came to choosing the right home, the Huxley 120 plan stood out for its architectural design and light-filled layout. As a 3-bedroom transportable home, it offered the perfect balance of space and flow for their family. The dual gable option added extra appeal, and the open-plan kitchen with large sliders made indoor-outdoor living easy - exactly what they wanted from their new build home in NZ.

  • Floor - 120sqm
  • Bed/Bath - 3 Bedrooms, Bathroom + Ensuite
  • Model - Huxley 120

“This layout just worked for the location so well. We kept coming back to this one… there was something about it.”

- Nicky

PLANNING STAGE

Nicky & Brad's Wish List

Nicky and Brad’s ideal home was light, family-friendly and ready to enjoy. Their wishlist for a ready built transportable home included:

They found inspiration from visiting the Transbuild showhome, and with help from the team, this couple were able to turn their ideas into reality.

“We’re quite visual people… being able to actually go and see the show homes and have a look through -  that was a big plus for me.”

- Nicky

BUILDING JOURNEY

A Clever & Supportive Build

Nicky and Brad hadn’t built before – “not even a shed” – and were initially daunted by the process. But working with Transbuild NZ gave them confidence at every step.

“This was just turnkey – ticking boxes with guarantees.”

- Brad

By choosing a transportable home, they avoided the delays and complications of a traditional build. From visiting the show home to watching their house being built in the factory, the journey felt transparent and exciting.

And with a build that arrived ahead of the 12-week timeframe, they were able to enjoy their beachside retreat sooner than expected, and in time for Christmas.

“We sat in the reserve to watch it arrive - it was so exciting.”

- Nicky

HIGHLIGHTS

What Made it Feel Like Home

From the moment they stepped into the show home, they could picture themselves living there. The Transbuild team helped them fine-tune the plan and add thoughtful touches that reflected their style - like lighting upgrades, natural beach-chic finishes and external features to suit the coastal location.

“The team really listened… even down to things we wouldn’t have thought of.”

- Nicky

OUR BUILD

Bringing it All Home

After watching their home roll down the road in Drury, and again as it arrived onto their section in Hahei, Nicky and Brad had a real sense of satisfaction - this was their family’s beach base, ready to enjoy from day one.

Their first summer in the home, with family gathered around and no DIY jobs to tackle, was, as they put it, “a pinch-me moment.”

Their advice to others?

“Get involved. Go watch the houses, visit the factory. Be part of it.” - Nicky

Because for this family, the journey was just as memorable as the destination.

"We’d do it again in a heartbeat.”

- Brad
